Ruth grew up on the Virginia coast and is a 1986 graduate of Asbury College with degrees in Psychology and Coaching. She spent her college summers working camps at Triple R Ranch in Chesapeake, Virginia where she grew in wisdom and experience concerning Christian camp culture and it's life altering impact. Ruth states, "I was once that camper who had no clue how my life would change by the end of the week! The environment of the campground combined with the events planned to capture my heart had an eternal impact on the choices I've made and the outcome of my life. To serve the body of Christ through the camp experience is a passion."
Ruth has been avidly involved in the development and direction of Camp Victory from its begining in 2004 and assumed the Directors role in 2009.
Ruth enjoys the outdoors and seeing God in it, writing, mentoring young people and coaching the beliefs of others through teaching the Word. Ruth resides in Durant with her husband of 22 years, Ron, and their four sons, Ethan, Eric, Seth and Levi, with whom she greatly enjoys living life alongside!
Gary Hance
Ground Manager
Gary retired from TXU electric as a crew foreman
after 33 1/2 years of service. Gary went to work for the camp June 30th
and moved there August 5 2003. He states, "It has truly been a blessing to be here
from the beginning to see the camp grow from nothing to what it is today
and what it will be in the future.
Gary has been married to his wife Clydette for 44 years. They have 2
wonderful children, 5 precious grandchildren and Maggie, affectionately
known as the camp dog.
